This is a reliable cooking plum which ripens by the end of August/early September. It is slow to come into cropping, but because it flowers late, it is very suitable for the North. The tree is very upright and the branch angles are very sharp and liable to break out, if not supported. Partially self-fertile. Flowers late and fairly resistant to spring frosts.
